Well, when you have kids, there is no definite plans...
With that being said, our kids were sick over Christmas. So we stayed at home and tried to get everyone healthy.
*You all know Preston ’s history with colds…they either end up with a trip to the ER in an ambulance, a repertoire of shots to calm his lungs or antibiotics. Well, for the first time in, EVER, his cold stayed a cold!
*Nessa on the other hand went from cold to croup. But for the first time EVER, hers was a manageable croup! No shots, antibiotics…so far!
*And Miss L, a cold…and we hope it stays at that!
So I guess all of the vitamins, immune boosters, probiotics, vitamin C, D and all the others are actually paying off! The kids think we have our own vitamin store in our cupboard because of all the bottles of goodies we make them take!
It was the first time in 30 years that I’ve missed a Carlson Christmas. For the first time in 30 years, we were the ones getting the phone call and listening to the groupie sing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas!” It was with mixed emotions that we celebrated this year. I missed going home for the holidays, but enjoyed snuggling up in our home and celebrating here with the kids. We also were able to spend some time celebrating with Grammy and Grampa. We haven’t had quality time with them for some time and it was great to catch up and reconnect. So below are the pictures from our very blessed Christmas…well, the first one that is! Enjoy!

Soooo tired!
Catching our 2nd wind!
Mistaking L's highchair for bumper cars. Pushing her all over the kitchen!
Opening our last Christmas books (we wrap up all of our Christmas books and the kids get to open one each day/night of December. This allows us some sanity from the incessant questioning of “Can we open a present…just one?!”

Finding out how Santa really got his job
I'm reading 'Twas the Night Before Christmas" to Grammy (with a little help from Gramma & Papa-the recordable books) Although, I don't need much help. I know this story by heart.
