I think I'll stick to cooking...I'm SO not a baker!

Happy Birthday Dr Seuss!  Well, at least I tried! But as many of you know, birthday cakes just aren't my niche!
I tried to make a Dr Seuss cake with 1 (fish) 2 (fish) red (fish picture) blue (ok, purple fish picture). What a disaster! Just fyi...don't think that by making a cake at midnight that it will, by any means, turn out to be a good situation!
No, this isn't from eating 1/2 the cake...and yes, I wish I could "blame" the kids for helping, but this disaster was all me!  The cake kept crumbling while I was trying to frost it. By the time I was finished, over half of the cake was missing! And no, I didn't even get to eat a bite! But everyone who ate it said it tasted good! I don't care if it was pity compliments or not...it was gone, so it must have been ok!

  1. My sister used Whipped cream for frosting my neice's B-day cake and it was a miracle how it didn't make the cake crumble....plus, it's lighter on the cal. and carbs!! I'm switching to Whipped topping for my cakes from now on...
