We are so stinkin’ proud of this little man! Tim and I were collecting items today to donate to an orphanage in Africa and we were telling Preston about it. We told him that a family from Ankeny was living in Africa and was building an orphanage for kids who didn’t have mommies or daddy’s. We told him that they didn’t have any toys there for the kids and wondered if he wanted to give them any of his toys to play with. We reminded him that he wouldn’t get these toys back if he gave them to the kids. He sat and thought about it and went to his cars tub and dug through until he found his Mack truck from the movie CARS. He said “Do you think they would like my Mack?” It was all I could do not to cry. He loves that car so much and it was the first we he chose to give away. My heart was aching with love for that little man! I told him how sweet that was, and we talked about his choice and instead he decided to give a few other cars. (that was our call, I didn’t know really what to do and was shocked with his choice). We are so proud of the thoughtful and caring little man he is becoming!
We headed to the Smith house tonight with dinner, a potty seat :) and bow making stuff in hand to do a little work and hang out. Here are the sweet good-byes between Nessy and Chloe!
