Soon you will see a new accessory on our little Peanut. After an Iowa Kids eye screening, we found out that Preston has high farsightedness. And with the type of farsightedness he has, we were very fortunate to catch it before age 7. If caught after age 7, he would have had permanent vision loss. We are so blessed to have found out now so that it can be corrected in time. After a 3 hour appt at the pediatric opthamologist, we got the news that Preston has really terrible vision! He has a SUPER STRONG prescription. And WOWIE, glasses for kids are expensive!!I am so proud of Preston today. He was so very brave! I feel terrible that he has all of these "preemie effects" kicking in after an almost 4 year hiatus. But we have to remember how blessed we truly are and that there are many, many more serious effects that preemies could face. So, we're taking it all in stride and we'll make this our new normal. :)
Waiting for my appt.
Sporting my "dilator glasses!"
After another hour picking out "the perfect pair of glasses," Mommy took me to MaggieMoo's for some much deserved ice cream! Yum-o!
I got to play with Jane on her birthday while Preston was at the eye dr. Here I am hanging out with Molly my Dolly!
